Abdulsalami Abubakar Institute for Peace and Sustainable Development Studies (AAIPSDS) is an independent, non-governmental organization founded by His Excellency, Gen. Abdulsalami A. Abubakar GCFR, CSG. The establishment of the Institute is a response to the need for innovative, effective, and efficient afro-centric conflict transformation and development methodologies.
We are dedicated to cutting-edge research, dialogue, education and training in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, environmental sustainability, good governance and sustainable development. The Institute’s goal is to build human capacity to transform conflict and acquire the necessary skills needed to make meaningful contributions to the creation of a peaceful society at the local, regional and global levels.
The Institute is located at No. 1 A.H Gimba Street, Off David Mark Road, Minna, Niger State. We boast of a vibrant community of peace practitioners, faculty, staff and visiting scholars who constantly participate in a vibrant exchange of ideas through simulations, discussions, lectures, special events, conferences, meetings & other experiences.
